Recently my wife hit parking lot pillar while making turn. No other party involved , no property damage. Repair shop gave me estimate of 1200$. I have progressive insurance with 500$ deductible. Should I use insurance or pay by myself. Please advise..

$1200 is dirt cheap for that. If it’s that close to the deductible I’d just pay out of pocket, you’ll save that in a year or twos worth of insurance rate rises.
Tho for $1200 I’d want to see their other work. Metallic silver is hard to match well.

That’s an incredible deal since the damage is across two panels.
Do not let insurance know.
You will be paying for it with premium increases. Pay out of pocket.
