I had the honor of racing this rowdy 2020 Challenger RT with a 5.7L Hemi V8, 100 shot of nitrous, and an 8-speed auto vs my 1970 Challenger also swapped with a cammed, fuel-injected 5.7L Hemi and 6-speed manual. Almost dead even at the 1000ft mark.

A 5.7 hemi can keep up with a 5.7 hemi???? No way?!?!?

Considering that your car weighs hundreds of kg less with the same motor, I’d be surprised if it couldn’t.
Nice ride though mate. And taking it to the track is the way to do it 👍

Horsepower is horsepower. This is nothing surprising. 🤷 Tbh, your 70 challenger should have advantage in weight by about 750~ pounds. And I’d be willing to bet that you’re shorter on HP compared to nos engine by a lot. So yeah, weight and power evened this out.
