Does anyone have experience from buying off cars from japan. What was picking it from the port like?

I just got directed to a Facebook group called A got screwed by shady JDM importers. They also have a list of verified importers. As to picking it up from port, the easiest way is to hire a broker who handles clearing customs for you.
