Is that a key fob for a blackwing? That’s my current dream car

More like 35 years since car keys were so small and simple

Damn, lots of hate in these comments. I don’t see a Caddy in the picture, I see a key fob. If he wanted to flex he could have posted a pic of the car with the key somewhere in the background out of focus.
I think it’s a cool as hell comparison and something we don’t think of that much. My first key looked like OPS. Now I can use a cell phone to start my car. Wild.

Nice! What car? I have the same key for a ct4 v blackwing

Prefer the first key, but prefer the second car

The color matched key is a nice touch

One of my least favorite things about new cars is how huge the fobs are now. Like I get that they want to make it some kind of statement piece but it’s like putting a rock in your pocket.

They didn’t make many different keys for cars back in the 60s. When I was in college a friend borrowed another friends car ( at least he thought it was) and drive it all day before realizing that it was the wrong car. The key fit. I always wondered what the guy who’s car he drove thought when he came out and his car was in a different parking spot.

Cars still have keys?!?
ukyman95
The key on the left only used one side of the key once you inserted it . I had a 1998 safari van on one side and my other 1999 jimmy on the other side . One key started both cars .

That’s a late 90s GM key. Early 90s had two keys. One to unlock and one to start.
Let’s see this Caddy

People like push button start until they see the bill for a new key lol

Booo I hate it, does not seem like progress to me but what can you do 🤷♂️
The_Crazy_Swede
One of my cars have a very similar key to your first car key, but mine is a 70s Volvo
My other car key is still simple and doesn’t have a chip but have a plastic top on the key
And my third car has a dumb plastic key but it at least is inserted and turned to start the car.
