Arctic Leopard: Real Electric Enduro Dirt Bikes!
Good afternoon YouTube Welcome to faace fail Productions so I know you’re looking at a web screen right now so a little bit different but um I wanted to hit some of the brands I really liked at amxo in detail from their websites cuz what better way to really showcase and
Kind of take a look at some of the products so to let you know we just signed up and signed a contract with arctic leopard us um to be a dealer for selling these bikes this is how much of an impression that they really made on
Us and a lot of the talks that we had from Artic leopard were pretty good uh they give me they were very excited to reach out to us they’re very proactive um those are the kinds of things we want to see we’ve dealt with a lot of lazy
Importers and some other things and so far they haven’t been it talked good game and proofs always in the pudding so you know we haven’t seen these bikes uh well I guess I’ve seen them in person and I’ve sat on them at the at the show
But I have not ridden these bikes so we’re going to disclaimer that so far and I’m going to go over that these are probably some of the best electric Enduro dirt bikes that you’re going to get for bang for your buck and to be a real reliable dirt bike so I’m super
Excited about these um let’s kind of go over this so um the one you’re seeing here this black bike is their um exe 880 um so this is going to be their highest end bike it’ll come in red or black um and uh yeah it has a ton of really cool
Things about it so we’re going to go over some of their models um we’ll go ahead and just go to the models page already uh I’ll start with the exe series I think see if we can get to the right page all right so we’ll show a little
Bit hopefully they don’t get mad at me for using this because I don’t know if it’s copyrighted content but um because I’m doing a voice over it should be free use I’ll talk to them if there’s any problems but here’s kind of a little bit
Of a look at the bike um I’m very excited about all things having to do with this looks and feels like an Enduro it’s a full sizee dirt bike yeah there’s there’s some really cool things so the exe 880 um we’re looking at um a starting price of
$1,000 so yeah that’s uh a poop ton of money if we’re for being honest um but here’s the thing um we’re looking at 37 kilowatt output 51 horsepower it’s probably closes might be a little bit optimistic but um and they’re boasting 118 mile range that’s like 22 mph on a
Flat track kind of range so realistic off-road range doing single track and riding the hard stuff we do my guess is it’s going to be around 60 to 70 miles depending on Rider weight and how aggressive you are with your writing so that’s pretty awesome um they even have
A larger battery than what they advertise from the model here so you can get an even bigger battery which could probably take you into the real world 70 mile range which would be very awesome um their next model down which I believe is the same chassis it looks
Like it doesn’t have a headlight on it or that’s just the picture they’re showing um but uh yeah $9,400 27 kilowatt 93 mile range a little bit little bit less on the Range there but that’s okay so we’ll look at some of the details here um what’s very cool about
These Banks is there’s no around with having 19in Wheels like that is pretty awesome everything we’ve been asking for in this is we want 2118 wheels so um yeah we’ve got that if we’re looking at the exe 880 here um we’re looking at uh 238 lbs weight
That’s very cool very comparable to one of our 3002 Strokes back there lighter than some a little bit heavier than my EXT trainer um and then we go to um so coming with good Tire s the brakes I want to note these These are J Juan brakes my understanding is that this is
The parent company of Brembo so I want to basically say that they’re Brembo breakes um and they are real dirt bike brakes uh no if ends or butts that’s pretty cool very very they looked very beefy in person they look felt pretty good from what I could in there so
Yeah um it’s got a traditional triple clamp so this is another big thing is that um you know this is a real dirt bike triple clamp with real bearings um something like that so this isn’t more of like a it’s none of that e bike or mountain bike type
Components okay so the front forks 48 mil um they look pretty comparable to something like a KYB of course they’re looking to get name brand stuff in the the next model year um you know we won’t know what the quality of these Forks are and what they’re really set up to do
Until we get on them in fact I can’t remember if I asked if they were open or closed cartridge Forks but um yeah so that’s something we’re going to have to test once again you know all this takes lots of testing we plan to have a demo bike and a
Rental um yeah we really need to to kind of show what these can do we have no problems beating the heck out of them and you know what if they don’t do well we’re going to tell the company and try to work something out that’s how it goes
With this uh there’s that Max mileage there I think that’s pretty optimistic we’re going to have to do that testing ourselves max speed now these are pretty lofty we’re going to have to test these out 78 miles hour holy moly I just um I think most of my two-strokes gear out
Well before 78 miles an hour so or even 72 I think the XT trainer tops out right at 70 so um that’s pretty awesome I can’t believe um you know they’re they’re you know offering some really sweet speeds there 37 Kow like we talked about 27 on the other month model
Those are both great numbers in fact I’d probably go with the 27 cuz that’s going to be more than enough power for the vast majority of riders out there uh toron wheel I need to have a conversation with these guys on this 880 nanometers to the wheel kind of thing uh
That’s just not a realistic number it equates like 600 foot pounds a force so uh once you do the conversions and stuff it’s a lot less I don’t know I’m not going to knock their naming convention but uh I don’t know that’s not how I see
That doesn’t mean it’s a bad bike though cuz a lot of the Chinese bikes um they do kind of stuff like this so we’re looking at the battery the stock battery is a 105 volt 58 amp hour um that that’s freaking sweet man like that that is an
Awesome awesome amount of power that that’s just over six kilowatt hours I believe I did the math earlier and down here um oh yeah we have a 90 volt 75 amp hour for another 500 bucks so if you really want more range that’s 6.7 kwatt
Hours um so to give you an idea our ra mantis is like 2.5 KW hours most of the smaller bikes are right around there uh I believe an ultra B is right around a 4 Kow hour battery so these are huge amounts of power getting up towards 7
Kilowatt hours that’s awesome so that should Supply plenty of range um and then even the 53 amp hour 90 volt on this side if you wanted to go with a cheaper bike and add the bigger battery you can still do that too I think that would probably be an option
For myself personally um yeah this this is very exciting so it’s a lot of money for a bike there’s there’s just kind of no getting around that I understand but please understand that these are trying to be real um competitive Enduros in the space and I won’t know about how well
They’ll do against a beta 300 RR off-road until we get one also another thing that I haven’t noted is that these have an electronic clutch option um I think it’s unnecessary guys like I we get all about the clutch but there is a clutch opt option where you can
Basically slip dump the clutch pick it up but with electric bikes they have so much torque from zero RPM you can pivot at any point in time you can have full control over the motor so my personal opinion is that the clutch thing is kind
Of a gimmick but a lot of people out there are asking for it and I know why they’re doing it all right so let’s go over to the ex series EXT I got to see I got to see which one next I’m going to move on to U
That’s not the one I want to go on to yet we’ll get there we’ll get there okay so this is the next one I really want to touch on um and this is a render they’ got some beautiful photos at the show of this bike so if you
Haven’t checked out my am Expo this bike looks so good in person anyways this is what I see as a suron Ultra B killer um at the very least a competitor right this bike is awesome it is sized and weighted right along with the uh Ultra B
And it it’s a it’s got a higher build quality better form factor there’s less sticking off the bike uh the forks are beefier the shock is definitely way beefier so this bike looks to be very awesome not to mention it comes with 2118 Wheels it’s got the option for the
Brembo style brakes on it like there’s there’s really God it’s just such an awesome package for the money now it does cost more though so we’ll scroll down a little bit here um there’s kind of two main models the XE 700 um Artic leopard so we were looking
At eight grand right so realistically with the selling price with our I’m just going to say with the kind of margins we’re looking at most of these we should be able to sell right around 76 78 I can’t promise anything Below Retail that’s a thing we contract we I
Blah blah blah we’ll get that out of the way now but I’m just saying that around $88,000 if a suron Ultra be by the time you get it out of a local suron dealer you’re going to be paying about seven anyway um 20 Kow so 8 Kow more than an
Ultra B 27 horsepower there abouts kind of uh Power 105 mile range 172 lb um so at that point it actually weighs less we’ll have to get it on a scale and make sure that that’s accurate but yeah that uh that’s pretty sweet now the one that
Really excites me is the upper end model the ex800 U 25 KW 137 M 180 PBS that hits absolutely everything that the ultra B should be so essentially it’s an ultra B fully Decked Out 218 Wheels big battery more controller that is you know that is cream of the crop
From the get-go there’s no messing around with your controllers and and you know things that aren’t compatible with the display and what messing with torp I I really think out of the box this will save you money versus messing around with an ultra B okay we’ll go some details I’m going
Way longer winded than I wanted to but uh um I’ve gotten kind of in the nitty-gritty and talking with this company quite a bit so uh just just some things that hey we’ll we’ll check them out uh okay so 180 lb on the big boy 172
On the smaller one uh those are both great 2118 wheels from the get-go they also let us know that they gave their bikes um some of their bikes to um warp 9 and a few other companies so we’ll be looking at having warp 9 wheel options
For this bike very soon that’s very cool warp 9 has been a great partner so but I mean you’re getting 218 wheels from the get-go it’s pretty cool okay so the brakes uh like I said J Juan Brembo uh parent company type thing I got to look more into that but
Nonetheless they looked very good on there at the at the show I’m very curious to see what their Artic leopard custom breaks are going to do because uh from what I saw at the at the at the aim show the custom breaks that they have that are Chinese specials let’s be real
Looked good um they looked way better than than anything that the ultra B has strapped to it so I expect better performance from even their basic breaks um real triple clamps once again then again I I will give the ultra be credit um in the frame and triple clamp
Department that it is very I think pretty durable um shock and shock and forks dude like that’s just something we’re going to have to test out I you know they looked really good uh they looked very beefy they they were claiming All Steel components on the inside shim
Stacks were you know going to be holding up that kind of stuff so once again I don’t know who’s making the fork I don’t know if they’re just using like KK or somebody but uh we’ll have to test it out Max mileage this is kind of interesting um once again I I pretty
Much cut these numbers in half and that’s a more realistic number for actual writing you know the company may not like me saying that but that’s just my experience with all the electric bikes we’ve been on but even then dude like if I could get 60 to 70 miles I would be
Ecstatic uh Max Speed 62 miles an hour plenty plenty plenty um very very good that’s higher than a lot of our other bikes uh Peak power 25 kows uh 20 kows on the base model both are pretty good options in my opinion so yeah that’s pretty cool and I
I’m very excited for the 74 volt 75 amp hour battery uh a massive battery that’s essentially the largest battery that you can buy for uh Ultra bees without any modification of the bike or big doors or anything else that’s pretty awesome a 74 volt 53 amp hour is also about the same
As the stock battery that comes in the ultra be’s and seems like there beting more efficiency more power out of it once again have to test that um if they’re around in the 40 to 50 mile kind of normal riding Pace off-road you’d probably be looking at getting pretty
Good um similar results to the the ultra be so this the base model I think is going to be pretty competitive once again you can order them with whatever you want down here for options um we’ll kind of glance through those are my two big ones and I’m
Already running into damn near 15 minutes so we’ll we’ll glance over some of the other models real quick like um this is a smaller type bike it’s kind of more framed like our um let’s just say like the ra mantis I guess it’s probably about similar size to that except it’s
Got 2118 Wheels um and some really good specs 20 you know even their base model has 12 kilow power output 56 mile range we’ll just go down here um and kind of take a gander real quick so base model 158 lbs technically speaking that would be lighter than our you know R mantis
178 big battery that’s a pretty good pretty good span that they have on this particular model um yeah so you can go all the way up to 20 kilow that’s an astronomical power for these platforms but the biggest deal here is a 72 volt 60 amp hour battery it’s massive it’s huge so
Um yeah a lot of options with arctic leopard we’re going to see how much they deliver in the meantime but let’s go check out some of their other um offerings they’ve got uh okay here’s their trials bikes so the trials bikes looks really cool trials bikes always get overlooked but
Once again I said like I said this company is doing an electronic clutch to where you can slip it uh TRS guys are probably going to really love that so you got some really good options here so at 152 and 147 pounds with like a wide variety of battery packs that you can
Put into these up to 16 kilowatts of output power it’s pretty awesome 72 volt 40 amp power that’s uh that’s a lot of juice that’s plenty of range I mean without a seat on it I don’t know if you’d ever even want to go that far but
I suppose I don’t stand that much because I’m a lazy bastard um yeah but uh and if you want a light kit if you want the light kit and Horn um if you want more shocks better brakes uh whatever you you kind of want you can
Configure this I I figure that if we sell any uh um trials bikes it’s mostly going to be by special order and that’s pretty cool but I’m going to wrap this video up by saying that this is these are a Chinese manufactured bike right um all the all the electric bikes are save
Stark VAR but right now Stark VAR hasn’t had a great track record as far far as delivering bikes in a timely fashion requiring customers to put $155,000 into it without delivering for you know years on end um yeah those are things that we want to avoid for our customers because
That’s frustrating we’ve already had to kind of deal with that with the ultra bees a little bit um uh the US distributor for Artic leopard is going to be out of Idaho uh they are looking at um taking care of all the import stuff bringing the containers in they’re
Going to have Parts here in the US the distribution looks like it’s going to be pretty solid you know proofs in the pudding if we have anything different then you know what hey it’s not the first we’ve dropped Brands before because they suck I’m not here to talk
Up a brand because we’re just here to make money I can sell whatever Brands I want I’m a dealer so if they suck I’ll go find somebody else but I have a feeling that’s not going to be the case and um yeah let me know what you guys
