Honda at Motorcycle Live 2023
Hi welcome to the first day at motorcycle live here on the Honda stand I’m Neil Fletcher head of motorcycles in the UK as you can see from the sand we’ve sectioned it into the four big pillars of our brand and that’s increasingly what you’ll see when you go
To one of our Honda Dream dealers let’s start at superport so as you can see it’s already busy and we’re here right next to the brand new far blade for 2024 totally new bike for 202 4 uh new aerodynamics new front suspension the latest o in 3.0 suspension uh new twin
Throttle bodies as well which means that it’s got lower down power and lower down torque for maximum road handling and the big surprise is we’ve also launched the CBR 600RR first time since 2017 we really want to sort of bring new life back to that smaller uh sport bike
Market we’ve also got a heavily revised 500R uh and that looks great with the new tvt screen uh backlit switches really easy to use and another big surprise CB 6 CBR 650r which has now got e- clutch making it even easier and better to ride uh in a spirited fashion
So all of our sports bikes are really uh raring to go for 2024 we’ve also got a limited edition all black uh Fire Blade that looks brilliant and we’ve mirrored that with a black uh CBR 600 RR as well that unders seat exhaust that free Revan
Engine I think that could be the one that actually steals the show as it did at itema recently in in Italy when it was launched for the first time in Europe okay let’s go and have a look at the rest of the stand so we’ve uh made it through the
Crowds to touring uh this is the brand new color for the uh Gold Wing uh bagger this year looked fantastic in dark green uh and we’ve also got the new colors on the tour as well so this is the Gold Wing uh special section within touring
And of course we’ve got brand new colors as well for the nt100 nt100 launched last year really taken uh the UK Market by storm uh and we’re really Kean to bring out those new those new colors that you can see here at the show all week right next let’s go and see what
Else we’ve got on this so we’ve made it to the adventure section very busy very uh many many Adventure bikes in our range this is brand new for this year look nx500 um our 500 CC Adventure bikes have won the MCN awards for the last 3 years
Running and this is the latest version uh this is the nx500 bring back another iconic label for Honda um and it’s got a brand new TV screen bigger color full color which you can use uh with Honda onroad navigation system and it’s also got back lit controls on the handlebars
As well so really easy to use fantastic looking bike already really popular at the show and then of course we’ve got brand new colors and variations of the Africa twin and loads of other uh bikes in this section you can probably see it’s already really popular Adventure is
A big part of the market and we have got uh lots of adventure bikes for you to come and see so come along to the stand spend some time on this area it’s it’s big it’s Airy lots of room for as many people as we can get on you can also
Ride an adventure bike here uh we’ve got uh um um the Dave Thorp Adventure Center team are here and you can ride an adventure bike if you book on and have a go on the Africa twins um and the crfs as well uh on our on our stand down
There so not only can you sit on them you can also ride them on the T and I couldn’t leave leave the adventure section without talking about transalp transalp launched last year now available in uh numerous colors looks fantastic you can see here with all the accessories on um trans out that 750
Free revin engine uh really easy Ed lightweight powerful bike um really been very very popular since it was introduced last year and we’ve got all the uh the range here lots of accessories so you can compare it to the Africa twin compare it to our 500cc uh
Adventure bikes um so come and have a look at them on the stand so we’ve arrived at the street section of the stand which is uh one of the biggest uh sections that we’ve got loads of bike here but I really wanted to focus on the brand new Hornet four
Cylinder 1000 cc far blade derived engine so it’s going to have fantastic performance but it’s got that typical slim waist slim rear tire which is going to mean it’s going to be a great handling bike and it joins the family the 750 launched last year and also
We’ve now got a 500cc Hornet as well of course we’ve also got the brand new technology launched uh globally here in the UK the e- clutch which is available on the CBR 650r and the CBR 650r and that is all about rideability focusing on the ride of the bike and not having
To worry about manual clutch change although you can use the manual clutch as well if you like incredibly uh versatile it’s going to be a lot of fun to use when that comes very soon to showrooms near you so come and have a look at the stand I’ve only been able to
