Not mine yet, but the seller was okay to wait for funds to clear. Nobody was seriously interested, and she was about to just take it in for trade at Tesla.
I’m aware some have big problems, and I’ve passed on maybe five in the past four years for failing motors or other issues.
This one: Replacement motor two years ago. Replacement onboard charger three years ago. Brake booster four years ago. No bearing whine, or axle click, only moderate scratches.
Only one dealership works on these in NorCal. I called them a year ago to see if they still do. “EV? You mean Hybrid?” No. “Prime?” No. “Oh. Ohhhhh. No, don’t. Run. Run away from those.” They said.
Yeah probably the smart choice, but not the choice I wanna make.
