We have implemented a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, which requires the addition of AdBlue, on certain Toyota vehicles in the UK.
An SCR system works by injecting AdBlue into the exhaust gas to generate ammonia, which reacts with the NOx on the SCR catalyst to generate nitrogen and water.
Use of Toyota’s compact, high-dispersion urea SCR system eliminates up to 99 per cent of NOx emissions, one of the main causes of air pollution. This helps vehicles conform to emissions regulations.

AdBlue is the commercial name of a diesel emissions additive fluid consumed in the process of driving. Due to the SCR system, the AdBlue tank may sometimes need to be topped up between services.
You can buy AdBlue direct from Toyota’s official eBay store by clicking here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-AdBlue-Diesel-Exhaust-Fluid-SCR-1-89-Litres-Ad-Blue-0889081010-/322556525603?hash=item4b19ddfc23
It’s important that drivers heed the AdBlue notifications on their vehicle’s dashboard, so we’ve put together this informative film to guide owners through the quick and easy process of topping up AdBlue.
