I plugged in at a grocery store today that has a free Volta charging station using the Tesla J1772 adapter for about 20 minutes. When I came back out and unplugged, I smelled burning plastic. It looks like the charger melted my adapter – the car end looks fine, car is fine. I’m assuming I need to get a new adapter cause I’m def not using that one again. I’m marking it on PlugShare, but do I report it to Volta as well? Anywhere else? Or is it possible that it’s something that I did that and not the chargers fault at all?

I have used this charging station and adapter probably weekly for four or five months, adapter was clean and dry.

Wasn’t able to add a pic due to sub rules
